About the Native Women Lead Fair Trade Initiative
The NWL Fair Trade Initiative invests in and promotes the Indigenous Creative Economy by investing in Native Women owned businesses, promoting Native made products & services, and opening pathways to culturally relevant assistance & programming for both emerging & established Native Women Entrepreneurs.
Through the Fair Trade Initiative, NWL partners with Native and Women-owned businesses to curate our BEWE Boxes for sale and distribution to our NWL community. NWL supports participating businesses in several ways including:
Investing money directly into businesses through the purchase of products/services and providing fair & timely compensation.
Promoting businesses through our website, social media platforms, events and with our networks & community.
Providing access to our Indigenous Women’s Investment Fund which provides low interest loans to Native & Women owned businesses.
Offering holistic, culturally relevant wrap-around business support & technical assistance through our Circle of Support program.
Each BEWE box is carefully designed and curated to highlight products created by Native Women and packaged using eco-friendly shipping materials.
