The Native Women Lead Fair Trade Initiative invests in and promotes the Indigenous Creative Economy by investing in Native Women owned businesses, promoting Native made products & services, and opening pathways to culturally relevant assistance & programming for both emerging & established Native Women Entrepreneurs.
Through the Fair Trade Initiative, NWL partners with Native and Women-owned businesses to curate our BEWE Boxes for sale and distribution to our NWL community. NWL supports participating businesses in several ways including:
Investing money directly into businesses through the purchase of products/services and providing fair & timely compensation.
Promoting businesses through our website, social media platforms, events and with our networks & community.
Providing access to our Indigenous Women’s Investment Fund which provides low interest loans to Native & Women owned businesses.
Offering holistic, culturally relevant wrap-around business support & technical assistance through our Circle of Support program.
Each BEWE box is carefully designed and curated to highlight products created by Native Women and packaged using eco-friendly shipping materials.
